Converting CGPA to percentage is a common need for Indian students — whether you're filling out job applications, applying for higher studies abroad, or just want to know your percentage equivalent.
The Standard Formula
Percentage = CGPA × 9.5
This is the most widely used approximation formula in India, recommended by CBSE and followed by many universities.
University-Specific Formulas
Different universities may use different multipliers:
| University/Board | Formula |
|---|---|
| CBSE | CGPA × 9.5 |
| VTU | CGPA × 10 |
| JNTU | CGPA × 10 |
| Anna University | Custom conversion table |

⚠️ Always check your university's official conversion method. The ×9.5 formula is a widely accepted approximation but may not be exact for your institution.
